Hello, I am working as an engineer in Oman from 2013 june and got the residence card. Having a valid visa till 2015 June . My contract with my employer is for 1 year I.e from 2013 june to 2014 june. Now my employer is not giving the contract extension letter formally. But still i am working for them and getting the salary. Can you please tell what is the maximum legal permit to stay in Oman without a formal document from employer. Is it legal to work with out a contract letter ? As the visa is sponsored by them for 2 years.

As long as you have a valid employment visa and a resident card on you, you are clean.
I keep hearing of this 1-year employment contract here in this forum. All employment visas are valid for a period of 2 years. So what exactly is this 1-year contract supposed to be ?
