Where is the post about recognising foreign marriages?

My brazilian fiance and i are getting married in my home country. We are currently living in rio under the união estável. What is the process to get the permanent visa under for spouses once the marriage certificate is issued back home?
Thanks

Once the Marriage Certificate is issued in a foreign country it should be taken to the Consulado-Geral do Brasil in that country (that has jurisdiction over the city where issued, since there may be more than one Consulate) and be registered with them. Supporting documents such as ID of both parties, etc., should also be submitted. The Consulado-Geral then issues a Certidão de Casamento on the Consular Cartório (Registry) which is the document that is legal once registered in Brazil.

While the following link is to the Consulate in the USA, the procedure is the same anywhere. The steps involved and documents required are shown here.

Thanks a lot as always!
