Visiting Shanghai to watch Formula 1 Grand Prix

Hi There...

I am travelling to China from US for work and as a very nice detour, I will be in Shanghai to watch the Formula 1 Grand Prix from 17-19 April. Bottomline- All i have is a ticket and know nothing about Shanghai..and I am hoping someone can help me and if you are a Formula 1 fan and are going to the race..even better.

Would you be able to tell me how far the Formula1 race track is from the city ? What is the best place to stay- which area ? How about public transportation- to and from the race track ?

Any comments will be great help..

I'm a Malaysian living in Shanghai now.

However, i'm not going after his car's wheel nut fell off in Sepang!

here is a link to Shanghai's metro lines....look for Line 11...from the map, you're able to find your ways around Shanghai. Metro lines here are quite convenient.
