It's just the opposite--it's a holiday and big party time!
However, most business is suspended for at least five days so no banking, etc.

On the first & second day of Eid, most of shops and all malls will be closed. But you'll be able to find some restaurants and fast-food outlets open.
By the way, it's called "Eid".
"Eid Mubarak" is a greeting for "Eid"
