Hajj travel groups?

Hello everyone. I hope you are doing well!

An American friend of mine is a convert/revert to Islam, having been Muslim for several years now. He works in Saudi and would like to go on the Hajj this year. He knows he has to go with a group, but as he is just learning Arabic he cannot locate many options locally.

Can anyone recommend a good group? English speaking, leaving from Riyadh, and foreigner friendly is preferred. It doesn't have to be VIP, it is more important that it is friendly.

Hajj groups will start getting established immediately after Eid-ul-Fitr. I'll keep an eye on the required and will let you know isA. This year will be different as govt has plans to reduce 50% of usual years pilgrims number because of the ongoing expansion project. That simply means 50% of registered companies will lose their contracts this year. Thngs are uncertain....

Hi, if he lives in Riyadh he can go to Aesha bint Abi Bakr road or Share'a al-Abraaj. There is a couple of agency there.
I used one myself a couple of years ago, for me and my sons, it was called Fajr al-Manaasik as far as I remember.
I paid around SAR 4,500 SAR (USD 1,200) and it was fair: good service, good atmosphere, free ride on the metro back and forth to Arafat, good food...
I went by bus but I would recommand to fly, because the bus trip is really too much especially the last 50 kms that took about 10 hours!
Otherwise you have the high high end like al Etqan and others.

If you need any info pl do not hesitate

Hi Xenolol, look for a Dawha Center in Riyadh, they leaving by groups and doing some studying at the same time while at Hajj. If his here in Jeddah I could help him but In Sha Allah he could find someone that can assist him sooner and don't worry about any expences it's all provided by the center.

Always, Listen to What TLL Says!
Like I do, this man is one gem.. information overloaded

Thank you very much! I will pass the information along.

Just wanted to post an update. Turns out he wants to bring his family (wife and two kids) as well. I think that rules out the Dawa groups and makes English speaking groups important.

I have found some sites of Hajj tour groups in Saudi, but don't know how legit they are. Any information/reviews will be most appreciated.

Also, are those normal prices for the Hajj (7000 to 12000 SAR per person within KSA)? Seems so expensive!

The minimum package price must be 4000+ with trip via Buses. Anything expensive must have air fares included (wherever applicable) and much better hotels close to the haram.

1. The government just announced hajj packages starting from SR5500 to SR8000. You would have to arrange through a local hajj operator even from makkah, as now they do not allow anyone without hajj permit, and penalties for people who do without permit.

2. Second part of question is unclear, you said you are in makkah and husband is in qassim...he cant come or you want packages from qassim?

I can not find a group with 5500 package. Only one group in Makkah is available with 13000 per person. It is a lot for five people. I was wondering if any group available in Gassim as my husband is working there.

13000 is too high, maybe its the VIP package, but since you are in Makkah all you dont require stay in hotels in makkah.

You can ask your husband to check for Hajj packages in Qassim.
