I am an experienced teacher/educationist in Pakistan interested in working in Malaysia. I have a total  15 yrs of experience. Currently Im working in the management department of a reknowned school. What do you think are the prospects for me ? Is it better to visit Malaysia to apply for a job. Does age matter?

Hi I think only fair to say that if you are Asian expat getting a teaching job is very hard. Asians are locals expats are white. Some Indian teachers in lower end schools and sometimes one in mid range schools in shortage subjects at secondary.

But primary? Teachers two a penny. So not economic to employ you as western white expat teachers are cheap. And local staff very cheap.

Also in Pakistan. From my observation of opinions education is considered 50 years  behind the west and no western principal will hire a Pakistani teacher. Indian maybe in shortage areas for exam classes.

Maybe somewhere like an Pakistani specialist or Indian specialist school might as methods reflect parental expectations. Global Indian school in kl maybe?

As chances low do not seek a job here as chances low. Apply from abroad.
