Dual citizenship

can Chinese citizen can have dual citizenship ?

First of all you must understand that when you say that you're from China we in the western world may find that rather confusing since we recognize that there are actually TWO Chinas, The Peoples Republic of China and The Republic of China (Taiwan).

Having said that, when talking about dual/multiple citizenship you must consider the laws of the two (or more) countries involved; the country of your origin and the country in which you intend to naturalize.

All countries have their own citizenship laws and they are all different. Some countries recognize dual citizenship and others don't. In some countries you automatically will lose your citizenship if you naturalize in another country. In other countries you may not be able to naturalize until you renounce your former citizenship. It all depends on the country. So it is impossible to give a simple YES/NO answer to your question.

You will need to know what is contained in the citizenship law in (your) China and also what is contained in the Philippeans citizenship laws to find out the answer.

Another thing for everybody who has, or is thinking about obtaining, dual/multiple citizenship is that generally speaking if you return to your country of origin for any purpose you will always be considered a citizen of that country above all others, so another citizenship will not afford you any kind of protection from that country's laws should it be totalitarian government of police state that deprives its citizens of human rights.
