There are a lot of posts that all ready cover this topic as does the guide at the top of the forum page.

It would be useful if you put where about you live as no point sending you miles away to buy stuff.

Good street vendor for fresh fruit and veg (visit a few to suss them out)

Gheant in Bahrain Mall for all other food stuffs. DO NOT shop at Carrefour at city centre mall, especially for fresh foods - rank
