That sounds harrowing. I hope the initial process has gotten easier since you originally did it.
Got any tips besides what's on your blog posts? I'm about to enter China with my wife. Our plan is to buy a van, outfit it with a bed and a stove, and drive around China for a few months.
Right now we're trying to figure out what the requirements are for buying a used vehicle in China. I've read you need an ARP but I've also read the opposite.
