Hi Philip,
It is a very slow pace of life here....which can be quite annoying at times.....but it's much better then the UK.
I'm sure you have better weather then us!

Depends on if you are a duck or a lizard.
We like the sun and life is slow.
But if you like cool weather and green then Ireland would be better.
Heat and dust here but the winter is cold.

Last Winter was one of the worst since we've mved here, we don't usually get it too bad though.
How long have you lived in Portugal?

We have been here a year now.
The language is the most difficult thing.
The winter was bad this / last year snow was a big news story.
It normally only happens on the mountain.
