British expats in Ireland: What do you think about voting from abroad?

Hello everyone, I'm a content writer for Expat Magazine. We are looking for testimonies from British expats in Ireland about the latest news (concerning voting from outside the UK). What is your opinion about the UK government's decision to allow 3 million British expats abroad to join the electoral register for 2024, as they strike down the previous rule that banned those who'd been abroad for +15 years from voting? ✅ Passport (current or expired)


✅ National Insurance number


✅ Part of your last address in the UK
