Prague, My Love

I love the Czech Republic...that's all there is to it. I travel to Prague as often as I can to visit my parents, family, and friends, but it's never enough and I miss them terribly! Missing them and the country that I adore is what inspired me to start this blog. It allows me to reminisce and share my love of this city & country with you, the reader. I hope you enjoy it and that it either inspires you to travel to the Czech Republic, or to share your travel experiences with me. I want Prague to pull at your heartstrings as it does mine.

The Gravy Train

(Gravy train: an idiomatic expression referring to any lucrative endeavor; for emphasis, one can say the gravy train has biscuit wheels.) My better half and I moved in August 2009 from Washington, DC to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Away from my life as a lawyer back home, I'm an international lady of leisure for now and using my appetite to eat, cook, and laugh my way through Southeast Asia.

Thanks to an ambitious New Year resolution, a group of Asian female expatriates found themselves in a writing experiment that doubles as a social experiment on the busy lives of single, not-so-single and married women who have packed up and left their country of birth. Honest, personal and very funny.

A Tuscan Foodie in America

Foodie: a person who has an ardent or refined interest in food. Tuscan: of or relating to Tuscany, its people or their language. And that's exactly who I am: a guy from Tuscany who has an ardent (not so sure about the refined bit) interest in food. I have been eating all around the world, spending more than 10 years in Belgium, until I stopped in Chicago, where I was blessed with a revelation: I love US food. I currently have a crush on Mexican tacos: if there is Taco God out there, I want to become his disciple.

Culturally Discombobulated

Culturally Discombobulated is just what the internet needed - another navel-gazing blog. It's my struggle with living in the land of iHops and Dennys. Imagine Alistair Cooke without the charm, talent and contacts and you've pretty much got it.
