Life in the LA Bubble

I moved to the US in October 2009 and started this blog one year later when it dawned on me I was trapped in a bubble of Britishness finding it very hard to embrace my new lifestyle. Since then my blog has become a wonderful coping strategy - but will my bubble ever burst?

Prague, My Love

I love the Czech Republic...that's all there is to it. I travel to Prague as often as I can to visit my parents, family, and friends, but it's never enough and I miss them terribly! Missing them and the country that I adore is what inspired me to start this blog. It allows me to reminisce and share my love of this city & country with you, the reader. I hope you enjoy it and that it either inspires you to travel to the Czech Republic, or to share your travel experiences with me. I want Prague to pull at your heartstrings as it does mine.

The Gravy Train

(Gravy train: an idiomatic expression referring to any lucrative endeavor; for emphasis, one can say the gravy train has biscuit wheels.) My better half and I moved in August 2009 from Washington, DC to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Away from my life as a lawyer back home, I'm an international lady of leisure for now and using my appetite to eat, cook, and laugh my way through Southeast Asia.
