Hi all,

Can a foreigner take the driving test in the United Arab Emirates?

What are the formalities to get a driver's licence in the United Arab Emirates?

Do you need special or extra documents being an expatriate?

How much does it cost?

Hi Armand, yes it is very much possible to get a driving license in Dubai even if you are an expat.The formalities are no longer ad tough as before.I suggest you walk in to any of the Driving Institutes,there is a couple of that around and you can find some of them almost everywhere.They will be more than willing to help you.With regards to the price it depends on how many classes you will attend.If you already posess a driving license in your country then you will need only to do 20 courses which will cost you around 2800 to 3200 dhs.
