The Gambia's most expensive cities

Hello everyone,

What are the most expensive cities to live in Gambia? What are the costs of things such as rent, utilities, weekly groceries, dining out, etc.?

What is the lifestyle like in these cities, for expats and locals?

What are the different neighbourhoods like? Are there more affordable areas?

Do you have any experience living in any of the Gambia's most expensive cities? What was it like?

Which cities in Gambia would you recommend? Are there any that offer particularly good value for money when it comes to cost of living?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

There are no cities in The Gambia, a population urban and rural of just under one million, most in abject poverty by EU terms.  A commercial zone to the area of the west coast, "The Sunshine Coast" Europe based tourism hotels mainly November to March.  Not a lot of this hard cash finds it's way into Gambian pockets.

Large townships are Serekunda and Brikama, very African in looks and cultures, local languages mainly, Islamic in foods, drinks and dress. Brikama the ex-colonial capital and administrative centre.  Only shipping port of the country and the business hub for international based trades. Does have a big church called the cathedral so is technically a city.
