Does anyone know the answer to this: if you move to Panama on a three-month tourist visa, do you get Panama health care? Or do we have to purchase our own private health care?

@ vinnie62: more often than not tourists have to rely on private health care, as FutureExpat's already pointed out. If you think this is an idea your family could consider, check out this page for Travel Insurance Panama and try obtaining some quotes.
