I am getting married in DR this winter. I have read the forum about the steps to take and everything is done. However I have looked at different websites and some requirements are different. One website has said that I need my translated documents approved by the Dominican foreign ministry and I have not seen that requirement on any other website. Is it necessary to do that? I got my documents translated by the Dominican consulate.

If they were translated by the consulate you are fine. I had mine translated at the consulate as well and told by them that no further validation was necessary
