I need to know the legal formalities to open a small eatry, mostly parcel food in Colombo.
What is required from expats in this regard? Which Government departments are involved in food business? What is the possible cost of getting all formalities through?
Shop rentals are in what range in middle and lower middle class areas?

Zaka, This comes under tourism, UDA and local governing authorities. You may need considerable amount of investment and someone to nominally handle 60% of the stake under company registration regulation. Colombo is not cheap and hardly anyone trying to do what you are eying at. Thanks
