In Douala there are many places to visit or hang out with friends but depends on the visitors preferences. places i usually take visitors to are;the Douala kings palace an original ancient kingdom in the middle of the city, to the base elf or base naval areas along the banks of the river wouri which is an estuary from the Atlantic ocean to have some fresh air as Douala is characterized with high temperatures. at the base naval are there is possibilities to have a taste of roasted fish directly from the sea. you also have the bamoun arts and craft market in Bonanjo, the administrative head quarter of douala and also the marche de fluers where natural flowers are prepared to be used for funeral purposes.
for a cool and exciting environment you can choose to visit the Doual'art a contemporary art museum spiced with classical music.
for night life you will have a variety of snack bars and nights clubs of both local and european standards around the city especially in akwa and bonapriso.
