Hi Everyone,

any idea how much is the salary for senior admin assistant in dubai? Is 4000 Dirhams ok?

Hello cocoi.

Welcome to Expat.com! :)

So as to make it more visible, your post has been moved to the Dubai forum.

A longer introduction may help.

Thank you,

This is relative.  I know people who live on this salary.  What is your lifestyle like now?

on this salary you wont be able to own a car, entertainment will be limited and you definately have to be single.

what sort of lifestyle do you expect?

4,000 AED inclusive of everything?
How much is your experience?

You will not have a life here on AED 4,000 pm - unless you have someone helping you with free accommodation.  Otherwise you will spend at least 50% on rent, rest on food and transport.  You have to think about this and decide whether this is really worth it.  In the Middle East there are no automatic pay raises or increments.  Thousands have worked several years in the same position and same salary.  On your job you will not be able to leave without a 6-month entry ban, so not easy to switch jobs (excepting Free Zone jobs).  Think about it

Hey there,

Some question first.

Which industry you are looking for?
Size of the company and reputation?
What skills you have for this job? Like Ms office ( esepcially the excel formula/charts) and power point presentations.
Where you live as then you can take travelling expenses like metro, car/bus pickup into consideration, your personality whether you like partying hard or just socialising in coffee shops.?

Just keep in mind that even a small room will ask you for dhs. 2000/- inclusive or exclusive of water electricity unless you wish to share bed space.

Some candiadate compromise their salary expectation if the reputation of company is good so that they can switch job after 1 year and get good package out of their ex company reputation in the market.

All the best.

hey cocoi, thanks for the information, I'd like to ask you the same question again, how much is ur experience?!

11 years of total experience. I worked as a call center agent, validation officer, cashier, customer service agent, sales personnel, general clerk,HR assistant, and regional officer. at present I'm an executive assistant to the department head. I'm receiving 38,000php [899.79USD] and 100% medical benefits.

I feel that the salary is a bit low, however, other benefits are good! I hope that other members can suggest you more?!

sadly I am not directly hired we in the Philippines normally hired by employment agencies reason for a very low offer :( Thanks James.hamad for your inputs :)

you should look for at least DHS 8000.

Not easy to survive with DHS 4000 any more.
Good luck
