Hi expatians,
I.have recieced a call from SAMBA bank for COBOL developer position. I m 6 yrs experienced in mainframe technology, can someone suggest me how much shall I expect from bank as a salary package as per my exp and technology. I m an Indian and have to relocate to SA.

As a thumb rule ask for 3-4 times what you are getting back in India !! 
Now dont ask me with tax or without tax !!

Tell us whtz there initial offer to you....and then u wud see the replies mutiplying by the factor of how close ur salary is to minimum wages here...

Including 10% fees for my advice, you can ask the Bank to pay you about 20,000 to 25,000 SR pm.
On a serious side, I agree with Saimans & Kymadoce.
@FLS - that barely meets the Minimum wages in India

i agree with Saimans you should be demanding 3-4 times of Net salary you're getting in india and then m sure you will be quite happy here.
