I now have the resources to be an expat as long as I want to be. Have traveled in Asia 5 times in the last 13 years and feel comfortable about it, but I have never rented a place.
Question: For a really nice place in Bangkok, can I rent short term (~3months) and can I get it for about 40k baht/month?

Hello. I suggest you book yourself for service apartment or hotel (you can surely get a decent one).Apartment and condo owner here does not allow short term leases.
I work for property agency so I know that for sure.
