Forró İstanbul Beginner's Course

Forró is a couple dance, even more popular than salsa in Brazil. We are looking forward to meet Forró lovers from Istanbul and also from around the world. Come on and dance with us, and enjoy the real magic of Forró!

There's no need to be a couple, no dresscode or shoes needed. Just bring yourself!

The class starts at 8.30 pm and it is free for the first comers!

Forró is a music genre and a dance style which is especially popular in North Brasil. Even if there are forró groups and communities in Europe, it is still not very well-known in Turkey. Forró İstanbul aim is to introduce forró and share the passion with others and create a community in Istanbul and it is a non-profit organization. We meet for forró classes and a free dance every Sunday night. The classes are open to everyone and sometimes travellers from all around the world join us. We are also attending international forró festivals and workshops to meet with other people passionate about forró. Dance is like a common language for us.
