The Brussels Jazz Week-End (ex-Jazz Marathon) is the great Jazz celebration of Brussels! It is a unique opportunity to put forward the diversity and the great quality of the jazz musicians in Belgium.

In the frame of the Brussels Jazz Marathon, we decided to present on Saturday a young band representing the future of jazz, with musicians still in the Conservatory, but also, on Sunday, a band representing the present of jazz, with solid musicians in carreer achievements and in musicality. It is with great honour that we present you the all-star-band: Augusto Pirodda Quartet!

Augusto Pirodda's Quartet will present its album "A Turkey Is Better Eaten", published by label "El Negocito Records" from Gand.

The musicians that go along Augusto Pirodda in this musical journey are the great Bel Sluijs on sax, Marek Patrman on drums and Manolo Cabras on double-bass. These musicians are the great names of their generation: each in its instrument has demonstrated the solidity of its musical speach. Pirodda's piano playing, usually clear and melodic, at times nervous and frenetic, is getting along very well with Ben Sluijs' musical sensibilty and Cabras' and Patrman's solid rythmic partnership.

In short, you probably already understood that this, dear audience, is a not-to-miss concert!
