A trio set up by the rhythmic section of La Chiva Gantiva: Felipe Deckers (guitar), Martin Méreau (drum) and José Buc Chávez (bass). With this classic formation The Cheap Power Trio has the capability to mix, in an unbridled manner, the sound of Rock with Cumbia, Salsa and other patterns coming from Colombia, such as the Puya, the Bullerengue and the Mapalé. The band unites a vast area of influences going through Rock (Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, King Crimson), the classic guitar (Léo Brouwer, Heitor Villalobos), Salsa (La Fania) and the Afro-Colombian music (Toto la Momposina, La Mojarra Eléctrica, Joe Arroyo, Teto Ocampo).
They interpret pieces of Sebastian Cruz, Marc Ribot, Léo Brouwer (arrangements), Felipe Deckers and traditional Colombians.
