Fairview International School Ipoh will be having an Open Day this Saturday, 15th June 2019 from 9 am to 3 pm. There will be a myriad of activities for families with children such as our Primary Year Programme (PYP) Exhibition, Global Arts Colouring Contest, POPULAR Bookfair, Reading Level Assessment, Robotics Workshop, BMI and Healthcheck.
Formed in 1978, Fairview International School (FIS) is the country’s largest International Baccalaureate (IB) education provider in Malaysia. Our network of 5 IB schools stretches from Kuala Lumpur to Johor in the South and as far as Penang in the North of Peninsular Malaysia. The Kuala Lumpur campus offers the IB programmes from the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP) under ONE ROOF.
University College Fairview (UCF) is the FIRST IB certified educational institution in South East Asia that is allowed to train IB teachers in the standards set by the Geneva-based International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO).
Fairview International School Ipoh is the fifth campus of the Fairview group which started its operations in August 2014.
The essence of the IB programme is a concept based inquiry-driven where children are involved in learning in real-life contexts.
Students develop skills through transdisciplinary themes making connections in various subject disciplines, thus building a strong foundation and solid base to grow on.
Learning without borders as students connect through information technology and travel overseas twice a year to interact with international students in their local environment.
Experience shared learning experiences through collaboration among the five campuses and between the various subjects/departments in each campus.

We bring changes to other schools in Perak through the affiliated school programme. Under this programme, Fairview teachers conduct teachers training and manage students’ Science and Mathematics learning club to deepen their understanding of how to conduct 21st-century classes.
Fairview International School Ipoh develops skills among Perak students to equip them for the future world, through IB education in school while introducing approaches to learning to the community.
