How to Bogota

I'm from south-east London, UK, and I moved to Bogotá, Colombia in October 2013 for reasons of the heart. During the first month or so in Bogotá, I felt completely disorientated and overwhelmed in the city; I wish I'd had a Bogotá handbook to help me find my way and know what to expect! So once I was more or less settled in, I decided to start a blog about life in Bogota, about customs, difficulties I have faced, things I've noticed, and I am offering up a few tips which I definitely would have found useful in the beginning! As time has gone by, I've also found myself exploring themes such as identity struggles and culture shock, which are inevitably intertwined with the experiences which come with moving to a new country.
