The girl I want to live with is a single mom. I am thinking of getting an apartment with her in Manila. If I was to live with her and the daughter, is there any concerns I should have? I was concerned about her ex boyfriend trying to make legal problems. Any advice would help.

How long have you known her? The most critical question is - was she married? That could be serious trouble as the ex could come after you legally. Ask to see the CENOMAR (Certificate of No Marriage - easily available at the NSO) if she claims to not have been married.
Also, what is the daughter's age? You have to be careful as there are laws with severe penalties in Philippines about being with children when the legal guardian (mother) isn't there, for obvious and valid reasons.

She is never married, but I will check to be sure. I read about this law in Philippines about family law, can never be alone with a non blood relative.
