Hi,

When living in a foreign country, you have to adapt to a new environment, various cultures and different social codes.

How did you manage to adjust to India?

How long does it take to feel at home? Would you say it is an easy process?

According to you, what is key for a successful integration process in India?

Hi,
Being a Tamilian, I share the language and the culture of Tamil Nadu, India . For the basic part the language looks similar. But the usage of Tamil in Sri Lanka is still in its purest form. As far as culture is concerned its has variations within Tamil Nadu.
The biggest difference is the food and the work culture. Sri Lanka was by far way ahead of India during the early 80's. That was the most difficult part to adjust.
