Foreign marriage law in south africa

necessary documents needed to get married in south africa as a foriegner

As far as I remember it's just a birth certificate , passport and Possibly criminal background check....it's really easy

A foreigner marrying a South African will require valid passport, valid visa even if tourist visa and a certificate of non impediment from your country of origin in english (certificate saying you are unmarried)

I am USA citizen trying to marry in SA to a SA in August. I will only be there for 2 weeks, can he book the interview apt before I arrive. What happens during interview? Can we request to get married in HA after interview? Or must we coordinate an off site, just want the process to be less complicated although we prefer to get married off site. Please help, any advice how to do plan this.
