Experience in Brazil

I am Brazilian/American . I still work in US through the internet. I am here in BH but working in my house. Minas Gerais is a nice state and there's too many things to do, for a person that like nature there's nothing better. Belo Horizonte is a very big city and as a big city has a lot of problems that need to be fixed.
Cost of living right now is very high, I don't like the public transportation, it is better to have a car or a motorcycle but beware that driving a motorcycle here isn't the same of in US.
The best thing in BH is the weather, only in December and January we have a lot of rain. I don't how work visas for Americans because I am a Brazilian citizen too.

Hi Gilberto,

On behalf of the entire Expat-blog Team, welcome on board.

Welcome back to Brazil and to BH. I lived there for several years and have many memories of the city; Sunday mornings at the artisan's street fair on Alfonso Pena, endless hours wandering through the Mercado Central, walks in Mangabeiras Parque, visits to the zoo. All fond memories for sure.

Thank you William,

I lived in Watertown and Belmont MA for 16 years. I am back since the end of 2008 but I still think that US is my home. I still here because I work in an office in my house.

If you return to BH please send me a note.

Take care,

Gilberto

Hi Gilberto,

Pode deixar! Actually I'm hoping to come back for a brief visit sometime before the end of this year if both time and money permit.

It's planned to be a combined visit with relatives and to hold some kind of Expat-blog gathering, but I don't have any date in mind as yet. I'll drop you a line once I firm it up.
