Hi,

when settling in a new country, working parents are mostly concerned about finding child care services for their children.

What can you share with us about the child care system in Xiamen ?

How much is daycare in Xiamen?

Is the staff qualified at these daycare centers?

What are the usual opening hours?

Do they provide other services at the daycare center?

Any daycare center in Xiamen you would like to recommend to other expats? What makes them special?

Hey Armand,

LEAD Kids' Club.
They have daycare. There's also another terrific school I used to teach at with daycare called MTSR (short for Montessori) next to the California City Plaza.

At LEAD the daycare includes English instruction, which you may not need if your children already know English. MTSR does it too, but to a far lesser extent, so it might be less intrusive for an English speaking child to go there.

I don't know the costs. But LEAD is run by a Chinese lady who is an instructor of English at Xiamen University, so I would say she's qualified. The staff seem very good to me. One of them is working on her master's in early learning.
