Relocating from Bahrain to Dubai

Hello,

I will be relocation from Bahrain to Dubai soon and have thought of road trip carrying some of the things with me for relocation. Which means I need to pass through KSA. Do I need to change my current car plate to export number plate before I drive? Or can I change it in Dubai?

Can someone please guide me on this? Appreciate the help.

You can drive through KSA with Bahrain number plates. However, you CANNOT put export plates for a Bahrain registered car in Dubai. These are put in Bahrain as the country of original registration.
