Hello,

I got my IPA approved. They have approved IPA/EP for a duration of 60 months? 

Is this normal? I thought that the first employment passes were issued for a year or two at one time.

Mine is still pending, Is this really just a waiting game? Why do you think some are approved faster than other applicants?

from what I observe, there was a time where people in finance got their approval very fast, but IT slower. but it shouldnt be treated as a fact, just observe based on field only.

anyone verifying their education? my institution accreditation check is taking almost 2 weeks, not clear what is holding my uni back to reply to avvanz  Im also confuse why accreditation check is needed

MOM said that everything was in order and they are just waiting for final approval but couldn't provide a timeline on when will it be approved. It takes a lot of patience really.

I reckon seems to be a nationality thing.
I've noticed Malaysians getting ours approved quicker.
Once again, I'm not chinese but a Malaysian 
Unfair to some extent.

An IPA is never approved for that long - typically 1 - 3 months.
Even for the EP, it is unusual. Count yourself lucky!

Mate, agencies charge based on your requirements. How many degrees need to be verified, where, etc. please think, it's very logical.

Sorry, the IPA was approved till August. However, the employment pass for 60 months.

As long as they need to process it. There is a wide variation, but two weeks to two months in most cases.

You may get on 23rd

Mine is still pending! Not sure how long it will take. My agent called MOM and MOM said on 3-5 days they will update! Hoping for positive outcome!

Not sure but I saw the MoM letter where they stated that we need to submit the payment receipt if verification report is not readily available and they will process the application and once approved, during renewal have to submit verification report.
I requested agent to submit the report as we have the same from RMI but they said that payment receipt is sufficient? Any one face similar comment form MOM and what you have done?

There are two possible explanations for this:
Either MoM is stillwaiting for other inputs - or the shown status is wrong (after all, MoM officers are also humans who can occasionally make mistakes).
In both cases it does no harm for the employer to contact MoM and ask!

No my status is still showing as pending!
Today Gaian my agent call MOM and they again said will soon respond!

But anyone saw that MOM mentioned in document request list that provide receipt of payment as of now, we will process once approved then verification report can be submitted at time of renewal?

My employer submitted my application (EP) on 24 Jan 22. Rejected on 09 Feb 22.

Employer submitted appeal on 09 Feb 22. Status is still rejected until today.

Does anyone have experienced on long processing time? Thanks.

29/1/2022: Pending
2/2/2022: We need inputs...
4/2/2022: request for edu verification & accreditation check
21/2/2022: submit avvanz report
2/3/2022: MoM told that the avvanz report is incomplete

In the avvanz UI, apparently there was 2 buttons to download 2 distinct reports  what a silly mistake from my end.. hope they dont make me wait another month because I failed to submit the 2nd file..

my status is still We need inputs... though, not rejected or back to pending

Finally after 75days of waiting, my EP got approved today!

Applied: 16th Dec
document requested: 14th jan
Submitted: 27th jan
Approved : 2nd March.

My status was pending all along during this time!
