Notary question

Good morning all:

I am currently in Phi Phi on a dive vacation and I got a frantic "Help Ne" message from my adult son and I don't know how to help.

Here is the situation. His truck is in my name and he got it towed in the US last night. The Tow company will not release it to him unless he had me or a notarized statement in hand stating that I am allowing him to get the truck.

So..How do I get a notary in Thailand and where on Phi Phi would I look? The Bank?

Thank you

Walt

Since when do Thai banks notarize documents when it has nothing to do with bank issues? You need a 'notary public' from for example a law firm to make it legal. I guess there aren't many of those on Koh Phi Phi, but you are just a short boat-trip away from the mainland.

Quick follow up ..I got some advice on a FB page for expats and I dinnt know this but there are online notary services! Worked like a charm.

I strongly doubt that a document being notarized online is legal in Thailand.
