HI All,
I am an ex-South African looking to relocate to Mauritius, we are potentially coming out to have a look in Feb / early March.
- what area's are good to stay in permanently (be good to be close to South Afrtican's)
- what area's have good schools
- when we come to visiot, where should we stay
- are there any other groups we could connect with top get more information?

Hello Jo,
Black River district, Tamarin village in particular and the surroundings fit your description. I wouldn't say it's the best region on the island, personally, I find it to be too hot and dry (not at all a fan of rural life) but it matches the few points you mentioned in your post. You will surely like it. Feel free to visit when you are here.
