PCR tests on arrival

Hi

Anyone that has landed on the island recently, the PCR tests one has to have, can these be on ones cell phone ( email from lab) or do you have to be holding a hard copy as it were?

Thank you

Hi Tashwilmot,

I would suggest you get both (on your phone) and a printed copy to avoid any inconvenience.

Have a lovely day,
Anou

Hi Anou  Will do.  Just reading over Air M re arrival requirements, so odd!  All of southern Africa requires visitors to arrive with PCR tests that are no older than 72 hours...

Your island requires one has a test 3 to 5 days before you get on the flight!   Thank goodness I looked this up.  If you hear of anything changing as we moved forward, please share.  Thank you

My understanding is it's within 72 hours for fully vaccinated individuals.

The 3 to 7 day window is for unvaccinated and for vaccination exempt (children).

Read same as Usama here :

https://www.airmauritius.com/covid-19-u … our-travel

The Mauritian authorities are working on the Full Opening of Borders as from 1st October 2021:

- Vaccinated travellers can explore the island freely with a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of their flight.

  -  Unvaccinated travellers will need to present a negative PCR test taken 3-7 days from the last point of embarkation and book a 14-day in-room quarantine package including meals and transfers in an official quarantine hotel.

Anything specific for travellers coming from South Africa ?

Ah thank you, I can see now where the confusion is coming in !  Well hope the "stay in your area for the first five days" does not come into affect!

Shouldn't be a problem. The text has once again been edited highlighting that you can explore the island straightaway, which is good news. Hope it stays like that
