Driver's license and Vienna Convention

Hello everyone,

I am French and I already have a French driver's license. I have a lot of contradictory information.

- First option: I can drive with my French driver's license translated into Russian as long as I do not have a professional activity related to driving.

- Second option: having a temporary residence permit I am considered as a Russian citizen and therefore I am not allowed to drive without exchanging my driving license for a Russian one.

If someone can enlighten me it would be great :)

Dear friend!
you can use your international driver's license in Russia if it translated to English and/or russian. No problem.
