For a 90 days stay without visa in any 180 days period....For a longer period you will have to contact the Greek embassy .

I don't think that UK is the same as other countries not members of European Union. As you are relocating for work invited by a company you will have no issues with your papers and you will not be taxed for bringing your belongings. Have you inquired with the company on such issues?
