Hospital cost if you need to be in the Hospital for Covid

I saw in the Rio Times they are talking about people having to sell there home to pay for the treatment of a person in the hospital. I have a couple questions. I have Unimed Health insurance and any other Health insurance would cover the cost for the Covid treatment? So my next question if you don't have insurance then what are they charging people for the Hospital stay. I understand there is different levels of treatment including ventilators and time of stay. I don't believe everything they put in the Rio Times.

Unimed will be better to answer your questions. I know of one case covered under insurance, but not medications and some testing.
The meds ran into the thousands.
Antibiotics and the home recovery are covered but as said the one case I know and (she passed) we had a fundraiser to pay the final bill.
SUS is government, but they do run a financial check on all admitted and new sign-ups.
