Moving from Germany to Valencia

Hi there,

This is my first post in this group and I was wondering if you could help me out with a couple of doubts.

I'm originally from Brazil and have been living and working in Germany for some time now. Although I've never been to Valencia, I've already visited some of the most northern cities on and off, and I really enjoyed my time there. Recently, I got a job offer in Valencia and I am very excited with the prospect of moving and settling down there. Could you help me with the following:

1. What should I be careful about in general?

2. Is it hard to rent / buy a house?

3. How hard is it to get by speaking only English, at least in the beginning (I have to brush up my Spanish)?

4. On average how much money per person is necessary to live a comfortable life?

5. Is the city bike friendly?
