It sounds like,you never kept up your cedula card up over the years,which expires every 10 years.Hopefully you can pull up your cedula # on line at the registro nacional web site,with using your full name.With that info,you can apply and update for your cedula.

Ellen41.....Since your in the 'registro nacional' archives,you can go on-line at their website and pull your cedula #.It sounds like you let it expire over the years and never renewed it(it expires every 10 years).Go and apply for the cedula,you will need your Father and Mothers full names.

claudiomat.....First check to see if you meet the legal requirements to be a resident in Costa Rica and then research why they do not hire tourist.There has been a flood of foreigners trying to get work here,if it were that easy we wouldn't be Costa Rica.
