Is it possible to get a visa?

Hello. I am an American who married my Iranian wife. We both got married in Turkey, and our marriage is registered in Turkey. I know the restrictions on Americans that they can't visit Iran without needing to do it through a tour company. But is it possible as an American for my Iranian wife to apply for a spousal visa for me to come live in Iran with her? Or would it be impossible currently for me to get a visa to come live in Iran with her?

I heard before that in order to get permission that we would need a police authorization number from the foreign ministry but I am not sure if this is still possible or not.
