Hello faisal_tts,

Welcome to Expat.com :)

To facilitate your move, I would highly advise you to browse through our Living in New Zealand guide for articles which cover quite a wide range of topics such as visa formalities, work, accommodation which are the basics for most future expats who have set their sight on New Zealand as their new home.

If you have more specific queries, do not hesitate to create more threads on the New Zealand forum for more guidance. :)

Best of luck, and keep us posted on the progress you're making in achieving your goal.  :)

Dear friend,

In the 36 years we've been living here I have come to the conclusion that Kiwi's first of all basically are not very happy with immigrants.
I don't know whether you deliberately didn't wish to show your full face on your picture or not, but it won't earn you any Browny points with them.
Secondly you have to show that you are better than any of your Kiwi competitors for a similar job (and you must do it at distance, which is not an advantage). So, to start off with, you must show that your knowledge of the English language is impeccable and quite frankly I have some doubts there. As an example I wonder what you mean with "Amy" jobs ...... Apart from that you have violated other grammatical rules in the 2 sentences you submitted.
Last but not least, I really don't want to discourage you, but let an old man tell you that immigration means really hard work and that you will always remain a stranger in your new homeland. Only your children will eventually feel at home in your chosen country, but you will never have the same experience. Kiwi's like to portray themselves as very friendly and welcoming, but believe me, deep in their hearts they will always see you as a foreigner and politely treat you as such.
My best advice: work hard at home and build at a future overthere.....
Am I disappointed with moving to NZ? No, but competition is huge and murderous these days and nowadays the living costs here are extremely, extremely, extremely high. It's absolutely impossible to live off one single salary. Better read this last sentence 10 more times, I'm not exaggerating.
Stay home, my friend, stay home, be realistic and stop dreaming.
