Rainforest realty or ReMax

I initially tried to use ReMax, and also Century, but was never able to connect with anyone that was interested in showing me properties. Rainforest I just never had a good feeling about. Ceiba Realty was very responsive and eager to help, which was who we used in the end.

Depending on the type of property you are looking for,  you are often better off looking for the 'for sale by owner' properties that don't list with realtors. That requires more time and effort, but can pay back in many 1000s of $ saved. As for the companies, all have had bad experiences just because things haven't been done 'by the book' here because there wasn't a book. There still isn't a very good book, so whatever you do, expect 'glitches.'

If coming to Belize for retirement, ask yourself why you need to 'own' something that when your 'time has come' it will difficult for your heirs to deal with? Lawyers here are voracious.
