Hi all! We're hoping to buy a mini campsite in the Netherlands & have a quick question about the transfer tax... If only half of the total land area is for the campsite, will we pay 6% on the whole purchase price, or 2% as the rest (and the majority of the property value) comes from the attached accommodation, annexe, and private gardens? Thank you

To answer your question: ask your "makelaar" or contact the "belastingdienst" about it. Be sure you get the right answer or you might get an higher tax bill than you wished for.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.
Despite having had a sta-caravan on a site for 30 years, I have no idea how the camping is taxed. My advice is to speak to a tax consultant in the Netherlands; if you don't have one, then at the top of this page is a link to our Services section and you may find one advertising their services in there.
