Good News for Non Tax Filers in 2018

For all those on SS and did not file tax returns for 2018, you will now get a check for $1200 based on your past Form SSA-1099 according to AARP's website.

The check/direct ($1200) deposit  is for you alone, as they do not have info on your dependents. The details for dependents have yet to be worked out.

That has been known for a while now.  I just wonder if anyone has gotten a stimulus deposit yet based on SSA.

I also wonder in what order these deposits are made.  It certainly appears that the first ones go to people who got refunds in 2018 or 2019.  The other categories that come to mind but are not in any particular order are:

1. Non filers or people who got no refunds AND entered their bank info on the online form.
2. People who got no refunds and did not supply their info but have Social Security
3. People who got no refunds and did not supply their info and get VA payments
4.Non filers, no SSA and no VA
5. People with various combinations of got refunds, have SSA and/or have VA
6. People who have had children after their last tax filing.

I am in category number 1 and as of 4/23 I have received no deposit.  My online deposit information was accepted for both the wife and me even though I only entered my info.
