Hello,
My family and I are planning to move to Addis. Nonetheless, before we do, we need to provide for SOME KIND of reliable Internet access in order to keep our jobs running.
Can anyone give us information if this is possible at all??? We would need something that really works (at least for some hours a day) and that would allow us to send some mid-sized files. Can a private person get an acceptable Internet connection in a rented house???
I'd be happy to get any tips!

Basia,
As far as I know, a private individual cannot get a broadband connection. A business or organization can apply for one, but it could take a very long time to get it, if ever, and it is very expensive. You rarely if ever get the bandwidth you pay for. The Sheraton has broadband, so you can go there and pay for it. Otherwise, it is only wireless.
