A friend of mine is all lined up to go to Guatemala, and has a job there (as a volunteer) for two months starting in a few weeks. She is an EU citizen, but doesn't live there. Currently she is living in Cayman - a UK colony in the Caribbean. What's the new rule on visitors from overseas. Is it all citizens that are banned, or people arriving from EU airports?

I'd be grateful for any information.

Effective March 16, Guatemala will bar the entry of citizens of the United States, Canada, South Korea, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, China and Iran.  That's the information posted.  I would have him/her check with the airline.

Thanks. But her plans have been overtaken by events. Our airport (Cayman) is closing down for 3 weeks from this coming Sunday.
