Hi guys, do you know any tax service provider for Americans in Vietnam? I worked almost first 4 months in the US then immediately moved to HCM for another job for the rest of the year. I was pretty shocked at the tax due amount from TurboTax (but haven't filed it yet) that I wanted to believe that I did something wrong along the way.
How did you file your tax the first year in Vietnam? Thanks.

Of course we don't have all the details but it may be that with only 8 months in Vietnam, you are not eligible for the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion. (Form 2555)

You can go back to TurboTax and answer the relevant questions but it may tell you that you are not eligible.
