Hi,

I just moved to Mauritius and found a place in Quarte Borne. Everyone is telling me not to use the buses and walk around cause it might not be safe.
Is there anyone that can carpool with me to work? The office is in Curepipe.

Hello Audrey,

I don't know anyone who can share a ride with you.

But the bus network from Quatres Bornes to Curepipe and back is good. The buses are new with regular services from early morning up to around 9 p.m. on week days.
Nothing dangerous about it.
Of course, if you are traveling at night, just observe some simple safety measures like you would do anywhere else.

if you will be in Mauritius for a long time, light rail services will start from Curepipe to QB next year.
